Most International Organisations have robust Privacy frameworks in place, often designed to meet the EU Pillar 9 standard.

Whilst Privileges and Immunities mean that external laws cannot typically be applied, now that the EU has published and brought into force a new EU AI Act, it is likely that in time this will impact the Pillar 9 requirements or perhaps even become a 'Pillar 10'.

It is essential therefore to understand the core impact of AI on privacy.

 

Whether you are in IT, privacy, compliance or projects, if you are working on an A.I. project or looking to procure an A.I. solution it is essential you understand the data protection implications.

 

This course is designed to cover the fundamentals of how Privacy requirements may be impacted by A.I. and what you can do to ensure appropriate security, data subjects rights are protected and maintain accountability.

The course is not focussed on a particular sector and covers both A.I. and data protection as they apply to any  application.

The course is an e-learning designed to be taken at your own pace. It can be used stand alone or further training can be taken before taking the final assessment.

FEB 2025 Update - the EU AI Act requires organisations that deploy AI solutions to have 'AI Literacy' from 02 Feb 2025.

"Providers and deployers of AI systems shall take measures to ensure, to their best extent, a sufficient level of AI literacy of their staff and other persons dealing with the operation and use of AI systems on their behalf, taking into account their technical knowledge, experience, education and training and the context the AI systems are to be used in, and considering the persons or groups of persons on whom the AI systems are to be used.
